Select a face-up card, then a destination column. Dragging also works.

A different kind of sequence

Here are the details for this mode. Scorpion on j5wan.com uses one 52-card deck with four suits. Moves build down in the same suit rather than allowing cross-suit destinations. Four complete King-to-Ace runs clear the game. The tableau has seven columns.

Read the opening cards

The following details apply here. Three cards remain in the stock. All cards in the last three columns are face up. Each opening column contains seven cards for a total of 49 tableau cards. The first three cards in each of the first four columns are face down.

Build in the same suit

The following details apply here. A seven of hearts cannot land on an eight of spades. A seven of hearts can land on an exposed eight of hearts. A moved group's leading card must land on a card exactly one rank higher in the same suit. A King cannot land on another card because no higher rank exists.

Move exposed groups

The following details apply here. The selected cards do not need to descend in rank to travel together. The selected cards do not need to share a suit to travel together. Any face-up card can be selected together with every card beneath it. The leading selected card still has to meet the destination rule.

Only Kings fill empty space

Here are the details for this mode. Cards beneath a moved King do not need to be in sequence. An empty column accepts a King or a group led by a King. A group led by a lower rank cannot enter an empty column. An empty column is therefore less flexible than an empty column in ordinary Spider.

Reveal the hidden cards

Here are the details for this mode. The next hidden card is revealed automatically. Removing all face-up cards above a hidden card turns that hidden card face up. Undo restores the earlier hidden-card arrangement when the move is reversed. An exposed card can carry the cards beneath it when its own destination is legal.

The final three cards

The following details apply here. This Scorpion version permits its stock deal when columns are empty. The stock contains one final deal of three cards. There are no further stock cards after the three-card deal. Dealing places a face-up card on each of the first three columns.

Complete a suit

Keep these points in mind. The game removes a qualifying run automatically from the bottom of a column. All thirteen cards in a collected run must be face up. Moving an unordered group does not make that group a completed sequence. A completed run must descend from King to Ace in one suit.

Practice Scorpion decisions

Keep these points in mind. Checking the whole moved group helps you anticipate what will become blocked. Hint lists legal choices without promising a winning continuation. A move can carry unwanted cards along with a useful leading card. Replay and Undo let you explore another approach to the same layout.

Save a Scorpion session

The following details apply here. Scorpion keeps a separate saved position when game saving is enabled. Random Scorpion shuffles are not advertised as guaranteed winnable. Privacy & Cookie Settings lets you remove local saved games and results. My Statistics records Scorpion starts and wins separately from other variants.
