Deal into empty columns

A few details help explain this feature. The relaxed stock rule does not change the rank requirement for ordinary moves. A stock card dealt to an empty column becomes that column's first face-up card. The relaxed stock rule does not allow mixed-suit groups to move together. An empty column no longer prevents a stock deal in this variant.

Ten columns and a stock

Keep these points in mind. Only the bottom card of each opening column is face up. The first four columns have six cards each and the remaining six have five. The opening tableau contains 54 cards. The stock contains fifty cards for five later deals.

Descending rank placement

A few details help explain this feature. An Ace cannot receive a lower-ranked card. The two cards do not need to share a suit for a single-card placement. A King needs an empty destination because no rank is higher. An exposed card may land on another exposed card exactly one rank higher.

Move a group

The following details apply here. A descending group moves as a unit only when every selected card shares a suit. A break in rank prevents the entire selected group from moving together. Same-suit building can reduce the work needed to separate mixed sequences later. A suit change can leave a smaller movable group at the bottom of a column.

Use empty columns thoughtfully

A few details help explain this feature. Any exposed card or legal same-suit group can occupy an empty column. You may preserve an empty column until you decide to deal from the stock. A new stock row fills every empty column with one card. Empty columns remain useful for separating temporary mixed builds.

Bring in another row

The following details apply here. Dealing can block an existing sequence as well as reveal new combinations. A stock deal places one card onto each of the ten columns. You cannot direct an individual stock card to a chosen destination. Undo restores the previous arrangement when the stock-deal snapshot is available.

Clear the table

A few details help explain this feature. The game removes a complete run automatically at the bottom of a column. Eight collected runs are required to finish Relaxed Spider. A complete run contains thirteen face-up cards in one suit from King to Ace. Changing the number of suits does not change the number of required runs.

Hints identify legal options without guaranteeing a win. Replay restores the same shuffle for another attempt. Random relaxed deals are not presented as guaranteed solvable. New game creates a fresh shuffle in the selected suit setting.
